A month ago my husband and I visited Woodstock, Vermont to see fall foliage at its peak. I had never been to Woodstock before and after researching the area I was super excited to visit. There are so many picturesque drives throughout the Green Mountains and the charming downtown area of Woodstock is perfect for wandering with it’s covered bridges and the lovely Woodstock Inn & Resort. The Woodstock Inn and Resort has a few restaurants, and we stopped in for dinner one night. We ate at Richardson’s Tavern and the food was delicious!
We started our road trip to Vermont by visiting Kent, Connecticut for couple days. Unfortunately, we don’t have any photos from that part of the trip as my husband forgot to pack the camera body! Oops! We rented a camera body and overnighted it to Vermont from LensRentals.com! I would love to return to Kent next year. It has been named one of the best small towns for viewing fall foliage. We did get a chance to visit Kent Falls State Park and downtown Kent, which were both beautiful.
The weather was pretty perfect during our trip, sunny during the day while getting just a little cool at night. This cute plaid puffer vest and lightweight sweater kept me warm throughout the day while shooting and traveling around Woodstock.
Our Airbnb rental was just south of Woodstock and had the most beautiful views of Mount Ascutney in the distance. The house was atop a small hill on 20 acres of trees and farmland with horses and two black labradors. It was the perfect relaxing getaway to be surrounded by nature.
This is the first post from our Vermont trip. Stay tuned for more fall foliage.
